Latest Updates from Our Project:

Obligatory Ramones Reference

Hello!

That's right, we have twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to goOOoo. I wanna be updated.

Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

But seriously, we're in the home home stretch now (unlike the only-one-home stretch from yesterday); 24 hours until the campaign ends! 24 hours to get your free digital products with every physical purchase. 24 hours to get a loot box of stuff from the Full Negative world. 24 hours to sign up to play an RPG with me! 24 hours to dance like no one's watching!

I believe Backerkit will automatically send out an update when the project ends, but if they don't, expect another one from me shortly afterwards.

In other news; we're close to unlocking the third part of the Setting Guide, dealing with the League of Free Worlds.

Anyways, I just wanted to make this announcement, and also point out that the main banner art slightly changed to reflect this new one-day world we live in.

And because we're so close, here are some bonus kitties!

48 hours* to go!
12 months ago – Wed, Apr 09, 2025 at 01:00:21 PM

Hey all,

Well, we're in the home stretch! We've got 48 hours* until the campaign ends, and then the real work (on our side) begins.

This campaign has really taught me a lot, and I look forward to doing another one for the sequel. But that's a story for a different time. Right now, I'm sure you want to know, "What's next?"

Starting Monday, we will be sending out Backer Surveys, where you get to lock in your selections for things like art cards, stickers, and buttons that have multiple options. You get to put in your address so we can start figuring out shipping. And you get a last chance for any add-ons you missed but want to take advantage of while they're still around.

But we're not there yet! We do still have 48 hours* to go. Let's see if we can't make this a fun, exciting two days, eh?

Thank you for your amazing support, and I'll post another update tomorrow and then one more when the campaign ends, just to fill you all in on details and stuff. Then around Monday, those surveys should start reaching inboxes. Make sure to check your spam/junk folders if you don't see them by evening time.

Much love!
Jenn

* Backerkit does something called Overtime Mode where they'll keep extending the campaign in 10 minute increments as long as pledges keep coming in, like those "hype trains" you see on Twitch and similar live streams.

One Week To Go!!
12 months ago – Fri, Apr 04, 2025 at 02:46:00 PM

That's right, we've got one more week until the campaign ends.

We've accomplished so much in that time; fully funded, reached several stretch goals (including two parts of the Setting Guide, which is coming along nicely), added some back catalogue to the offers, been on a couple podcasts, done an AMA on Reddit, announced a release party when the physical editions are available...

It's been a crazy 17 days.

I'd love to see us reach at least one more stretch goal, but even if we don't I'm super proud of what we've accomplished in this short time, and so very, very thankful to all of you! Honestly, you're the best.

In honor of our last week, and as thanks for all the support and love you've shown, here are some more kitten pics: one for everyone, and two more for backers, below.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

A short update and a longer talk about social media
about 1 year ago – Wed, Apr 02, 2025 at 09:05:14 AM

Hello dear friends,

So a funny thing happened to me last night. First, some background: I'm in a bi-weekly Fading Suns ttrpg game with Bill Bridges, a game author you may know from such titles as Vampire: the Masquerade, Werewolf: the Gathering, and...Fading Suns. Yes, I'm playing in a game with with one of the people who wrote *that game*. (Fortunately, he also happens to be a genuinely wonderful human being, and has never once corrected the GM on lore.)

So the point of this is that last night, the GM pointed everyone's attention to the fact that a 4X video game that Bill (and Holistic Design, Inc.) created years ago, EMPEROR OF THE FADING SUNS, has a new, enhanced version with better graphics/sound, that is slated to go live April 4. This Friday! (It's on Steam, the link is here.)

"Bill!" I said, "why didn't you say this was happening? You've never mentioned it!"

To which he replied, "I didn't think I needed to. It's been all over social media for weeks."

"Not over my social media," I told him. "I haven't seen a peep."

He cursed the algorithm (rightfully so) and I started thinking about how our voices really don't carry as much as we sometimes think. When this campaign is all finished (only 9 days now) I'm absolutely certain that there will be people (friends!) who will come up to me and say, "I wish I'd known this was happening."

You know it'll happen.

So...you know what comes next...this is where I need you to spread the word. Every little bit helps!

Thanks again!
Jenn

Happy Saturday Update
about 1 year ago – Sat, Mar 29, 2025 at 06:21:48 AM

Hey everyone,

Happy Saturday. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

We've got two weeks left (the campaign ends on April 11).

This week's news:

We hit out second Setting Guide stretch goal; Earth will detail what the world is like all these decades after the Sarcodinay showed up. From Dome Dwellers to Wilders, from Megacities to Quarantine Zones, learn all about life on our homeworld in the future.

Also: the RPG is a go. Someone backed the Keeper's tier (you know who you are and you're an absolute legend!) so that's a thing that'll happen. We might record it for rebroadcast later, or not; depends on the players and their preferences. Either way, it's going to be fun, I'm sure of that!

We're closing in on the next stretch goal. We've released flyers for folks to print out and distribute if they want, which have a QR code to direct them to this campaign. We've locked in our last-round copy editor (she said yes!) and there will be more details about THAT coming up. And we've announced that we're having a release party when the physical books are available at Eagle Eye Books in Duluth, and we've got another in-store event in the planning stages that I can't talk about just yet.

Oh, and in case anyone's interested, the Factions breakdown looks like this as of noon on Friday:
Dome Dwellers: 5
League: 33
Wilders: 27
Pirates: 21

Thank you for your continued support, and talk to you in a couple days. Enjoy your weekend!
