Full Negative - A Novel and Merch Store

Created by Jenn Lyons

Acclaimed, best-selling author Jenn Lyons is publishing her sci-fi space opera novel, Full Negative, about a secret agent who finds herself ill-equipped to deal with the end of an interstellar war, and even less prepared to deal with her past.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Street Team Flyer
about 1 year ago – Thu, Mar 27, 2025 at 08:56:08 AM

Hey all,

If you're interested in helping out this campaign more than you already have (and you're ALREADY quite wonderful!), I've created a flyer you can download, print out, and leave wherever you might be that you think people with phones will also be. Rock concerts, book club get-togethers, secret government war meetings; you know, the places normal people hang out.

Physical Book Release Party - Pre-planning stages
about 1 year ago – Tue, Mar 25, 2025 at 10:25:26 AM

Hey everyone,

Yesterday, I talked to Charles over at Eagle Eye Books, and we've got something fun planned.

When the book is available in physical format (which, granted, it still a ways out yet, but we're getting closer and closer), we're going to have a "Release Party" at Eagle Eye in Decatur, GA.

If you can make it, feel free to come. Anyone who backed at any tier is welcome, even if it wasn't physical. If you don't have a book yet, or are friends with someone who isn't going to get one via this campaign, there will be copies available there for sale as well.

Additionally, if you can't physically make it for whatever reason, we'll be doing a livestream of the event.. probably on Zoom, but perhaps on Discord or something. Details are still being worked out.

Anyways, I just wanted to share with you this good news.

Keep up the fight! We've got those Sarcodinay on the ropes, I tell ya. ON THE ROPES.

Happy Monday!

Hey all,

The weekend has passed, and we reached our 5th stretch goal! That's awesome!

It looks like adding the back catalogue was a good choice; people have been snapping up those copies like... things that get snapped up. I'm not sure; I'm not really involved in the snapper community.

Today it's back to work editing, drawing, and working on the setting guide.

Have a great day, and please keep sharing this campaign in places you think it'll be welcome. Don't piss off your family TOO much, though.

Also, if you know somewhere good to advertise, please contact me here or via my various socials (on the main campaign under Visit Paradise) and let me know. I don't have a lot to spend on marketing, but maybe I can squeeze out a little if it looks like a good ROI.

Thanks again, and talk to you later.

By popular demand, back catalogue add-ons!
about 1 year ago – Sat, Mar 22, 2025 at 10:36:21 AM

Now available as add-ons, select copies of my back catalogue. Each option is very limited, and each format has one title missing because that's just how the universe does me.

Hardcovers include all my books except The Ruin of Kings.
American Trade Paperbacks include all my books except The Discord of Gods.
UK Trade Paperbacks include all my books except The Sky on Fire.

If you have already pledged, don't worry; you didn't miss out. If you want to take advantage of this offer, simply go into your 'Manage my Pledge' section, and you should be able to add or modify your add-ons there.

Let me know if you can't see where that is, and I'll post some screen shots to help.

Also, if you haven't yet picked a Faction, you can do that while you're in there managing your pledge. Remember; joining a team is a vote for the stretch goal art you'd like to see unlocked.

Thanks for the interest, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Or maybe Monday. I might take tomorrow off and play some DnD.

Friday Catchup, Part 1
about 1 year ago – Fri, Mar 21, 2025 at 09:07:09 AM

Hey everyone,

Well, it's been quite a week. We launched on Tuesday at 4 PM my time, and before my weekly Star Wars TTRPG began at 6, we had already reached our first stretch goal. We reached our third in less than 24 hours.

Things slowed down a little bit after that, which is to be expected. The first day, everyone's all excited. The project still has that 'new crowdfunding smell.' Still, we reached our fourth stretch goal in under 48 hours, and unlocked Part 1 of the Setting Guide, a collection of information and lore about the universe of Full Negative that I cannot wait to share with the world.

I really cannot stress enough how much I love this universe, this series. It has been with me most of my adult life in one form or another (the less said about the earlier versions, the better). The characters and places, the details and cultures, are as much, if not more, a part of me than those of A Chorus of Dragons.

And thanks to you all and your generosity, I get to share it with the world now!

But this is only the first step. The first stage. We have more stretch goals to unlock, including the other five parts of the Setting Guide.

After all this is said and done, I will be working with the printer and booksellers to get Full Negative into stores. I'm not yet sure what form that will take, but I am looking forward to seeing my space-baby on shelves.

And then: sequels! Yes, while each book is self-contained, I have many more books to write in this setting, many more of Malory's adventures to chronicle. Think of them like old-style Noir novels, without all the Noir in them; they may make reference to previous events in passing, but overall you won't need to wait until the entire series is finished before picking up the first book, as each individual story will have a beginning, middle, and end.

So please, keep sharing this project with your friends and family. Heck, share it with your waitperson or barista. Share it with total strangers in the streets or on the bus.

You are all awesome, and I can't wait to continue sharing this world and these characters with you for a long, long time to come.
